25 Snacks…100 Calories or Less

Snack Ideas that are 100 Calories or Less

I almost always get hungry between 3:30 and 4:00 each day, and seem to grab the same old low calorie snacks…Yes I am a creature of habit, lol!  The bad thing is almost immediately after I finish eating the snack, all these other yummy snack ideas go dancing around inside of my head, and I feel like kicking myself in the bum for not choosing one of them instead.  Because of this I created a list of 25 lower calorie YUMMY snacks, in fact they are all 100 calories or less, that I have hanging on my refrigerator.  This list has helped add some diversity into my diet & kept me from becoming bored with my food choices.  Several of you asked for the list so here it is:

  1.     1 Cup Blueberries – 83 calories
  2.     A Hard Boiled Egg – 78 calories
  3.     An Orange – 60 calories
  4.     1 Cup of Strawberries – 46 calories
  5.    1 Piece of LF String Cheese –       50 calories
  6.     1/2 Ounce of Almonds – 85 calories
  7.      8 Baby Carrots w/1 tbsp low fat ranch dressing – 100 calories
  8.     1 Slice of Ezekiel Sprouted Cinnamon Raisin Bread – 80 calories
  9.     1 cup of Cheerios – 100 calories
  10.    ½ cup Sunflower Seeds – 100 calories
  11.    ¾ cup of Honey Dew – 50 calories
  12.    20 Pistachio Nuts – 80 calories
  13.    2 ½ Cups Air Popped Popcorn 70 calories
  14.    Zucchini & Celery sticks with 2 tablespoons low fat ranch dressing – 100 calories
  15.    Small Latte with Skim milk – 80 calories
  16.    A sliced cucumber with ½ cup low fat Cottage Cheese – 100 calories
  17.    Yoplait Lite Yogurt – 90 calories
  18.    1 cup frozen Grapes – 100 calories
  19.     Cinnamon Oatmeal:  ⅓ cup Oatmeal (cooked with water), topped with cinnamon and ¼ cup fresh berries – 100 calories
  20.    One fig Newton cookie with 1 teaspoon peanut butter – 85 calories
  21.   Baked Apple: One medium apple, cored, filled with 1 teaspoon brown sugar and cinnamon, and baked until tender (I just microwave it covered with saran wrap) – 95 Calories
  22.    Milk & Cookies: Five animal crackers with ½ cup skim milk – 85 calories
  23.  Cereal & Milk: ¾  cup rice krispies with ½ cup skim milk (use unsweetened almond milk for even fewer calories) – 98 calories
  24.   Cheese & Crackers:  Six Kashi 7 grain crackers with 1 stick reduced-fat string cheese – 100 calories
  25.   Cheddar and Tomato Soup½ cup Progresso Veg classics Tomato basil soup with 1 tablespoon shredded 2% low-fat cheddar cheese. 95 calories
